Dr. James Geisler, PhD, NCC, LPC, is a leader in the higher education sector, currently serving as an Executive Director of Wellness Services. With a career dedicated to improving student mental health, Dr. Geisler has built a reputation for innovative leadership and a deep understanding of the mental health challenges faced by students today. His work is anchored in the principles of quality, accessibility, and comprehensiveness, ensuring that mental health services meet the evolving needs of students.
Dr. Geisler earned his PhD in Counseling from Oregon State University in 2021, following a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Fairfield University in 2015, and a Bachelor’s in Psychology from the University of Connecticut in 2011. His academic and professional journey reflects his unwavering commitment to mental health, particularly through the lens of suicide prevention and creative problem-solving in student wellness.
